Project Description: 

Family culture within Liverpool is a key and noticeable factor within the city, whether it be related or friends, Liverpool offers a home like no other. Continuhouse aims to deliver a high density home, embodying the traditional Liverpool terraced house meanwhile responding to the changes of the pandemic whilst maintaining a family life ethos at its heart. The townhouse considers the transition from public to private space integrating flexibility throughout the home to cater for multiple living situations that may develop through the occupants lifetime. Similar to how we adapted to the pandemic this home is equipped to suit changing needs. Many people invest into a house as a ‘forever home’ Continuhouse project provides just this, a lifetime home.

The ever-changing Liverpool landscape creates many exciting site opportunities for a townhouse design. Using the Liverpool City Council Brownfield Land Registry we 
have documented several interesting locations for housing development. As Liverpool is a working city we felt it was a crucial part the project to use local resources 
and tradesman to celebrate the origins of the house. Bespoke furniture has been implemented into the houses to provide a unique + benefiting support for the family 
alongside showcasing local talent
